Watermelon Lime Ice Cubes

Watermelon Lime Ice Cubes are a great way to flavor water without any added sugar. The perfect refreshing drink for summer. Whip up a batch and store them in your freezer!

Total Time 1 hour 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 cups chopped watermelon
  • juice of 1 lime
  • 1 tablespoon mint leaves

Instructions

  1. Add watermelon, lime juice and mint leaves to a food processor or blender and blend until it becomes a liquid.
  2. Pour the liquid into the ice cube tray, and freeze for at least 2 hours.

 

Nutrition Notes:

  • Watermelon juice has been show to alleviate muscle soreness.
  • Watermelon is a good source of Vitamin A, Vitamin B6, Vitamin C and Potassium.
  • Vitamin A is important for maintaining eye health as we age.
  • Vitamin B6 is needed to break down protein. More Vitamin B6 is needed with greater protein intake.
  • The potassium and water in watermelon can help prevent muscle cramps. Pack some in a cooler for your next beach volleyball game!

    What can you add in the juice to stop its separation for a long time

      Unfortunately I don’t think there is anything you can add to stop the separation. But the watermelon cubes melting into the water makes it taste really good!
